Triumph Release NEW 2019 Speed Twin

The British-motorcycling company, Triumph, has added a new addition to their Modern Classics Range with the return of an old favourite, the Speed Twin.

81 years since they first released the Speed Twin and 57 years since its predecessor, the 2019 model obviously has a little more to it. "1200cc and nearly four times the horsepower of the previous model" to it.

Before we get to the specs, have a geeze at the promo video.

The ninth edition of the Speed Twin has been called, by some, a pumped-up Bonneville (read our guide to classic motorcycle styles) and, like all good modern classics, specific attention has been given to the finish and detailing.

So if you into your classics but also enjoy something powerful, it's likely you'll be pretty excited about the 2019 Speed Twin.

The 2019 Triumph Speed Twin may fit the requirements of a Bonneville, but as mentioned, this bike is more than just a cruiser. As well as over 80 custom accessories, the key features are...

  • 1200 CC HT Engine
  • 6-speed Gear Box
  • 112Nm Peak Torque
  • 97 PS Engine Power
  • 4.8 l/100km Fuel Consumption
  • Twin Brembo front brakes
  • Rear twin shock suspension with adjustable preload
  • 41mm cartridge forks
  • Lightweight 7-spoke 17-inch cast aluminium wheels and Pirelli Rosso Corsa 3 tyres

And of course, there is the twin exhausts with brushed silencers.

The NEW Speed Twin comes in three classic looks
  • Korosi Red and Storm Grey (with hand painted graphite coachline)
  • Jet Black
  • Silver Ice and Storm Grey (with hand painted graphite coachline)

"Over 80 custom accessories are available for the new Speed Twin, enabling you to personalise your ride with even more style, comfort, security and practicality."
