Cameras
As with previous models, Galaxy S23, has offered an incredible camera system, this release doesn’t disappoint with an even more advanced camera system, which works with almost any lighting condition - day or night. Using the improved Nightography capabilities so you can capture even the most late-night selfie or video at a concert. A new feature with AI, an image signal processing algorithm also enhances details and color tone so you won’t get any visual noise (think.. Flashing neon signs, background advertising).
The Galaxy S23 Ultra also features a new 200MP Adaptive Pixel sensor to capture epic moments or memories with incredible precision and quality. Selfies will never be the same again with the fast autofocus mode. A Galaxy first, there is a new Super HDR Selfie camera with 60 frames per second (fps), which is double what the previous model boasted.
Other notable features of the S23 Series’ cameras include
- The Expert RAW app, a Galaxy-exclusive app, which allows users to use the DSLR style image shoot mode, which can be edited in RAW and JPEG, reducing bulky camera equipment.
- Double optical image stabilization in all angles on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. No more blurry pics in a low-light situation.
- Enhanced video - 8K
- Object-based AI
- Advanced, object-based AI which examines even the smallest detail in each frame, even picking up facial features such as hair and eyes.

Sustainable Design
The Galaxy S23 isn’t just a pretty phone, the new S series also contributes to a greener planet with the most sustainable design yet incorporating more recycled materials than any other Galaxy model. Materials such as pre-consumer recycled aluminum, glass, discarded fishing nets, PET bottles, water barrels, and glass make up the internal and external components of the series. The S23 Series also is the first to feature a Gorilla Glass made of 22% pre-consumer recycled content called the Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2. To top it off, every Galaxy S23 model comes in a 100% recycled paper packaging box.
Specs and Performance
Aside from the upgrade in cameras, the second biggest change amongst the S23 series is the new customised Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset installed in all three models.
Engineered with groundbreaking AI, the chipset delivers accelerated performance, great connectivity, smooth gameplay, and more – it is the fastest chipset yet, reaching 3.36GHz compared to the previous top speed of 3.2GHz. The result should see the S23 having the fastest performance yet.
Tech Specs Summary
Battery
The Galaxy S23 range offers an improved battery life, but the change differs for each model.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ get physically larger battery cells, while the flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra model retains the same physical size as the previous model - making the S23+ have a longer battery life for video playback than the S23 Ultra!
Both of the smaller models (S23 and S23+) will see a 200 mAh boost due to the size upgrade whilst the S23 Ultra keeps the same 5,000 mAh power pack. The use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will also ensure better power efficiency for more long-lasting performance.
