Is Apple finally changing from a Lightning to a USB-C port?
One of the biggest rumoured changes for the iPhone 15 is the switch from a Lightning port to a USB-C port. This would allow for faster charging speeds and compatibility with a wider range of chargers and accessories.
The iPhone 15 Pro models are also rumoured to support charging speeds up to 35W, which would be an improvement over the current 30W charging speeds.
Additionally, the iPhone 15 range is rumoured to come with coloured braided USB-C cables that match the colour of the iPhone purchased meaning cables will come in the colours black, white, blue, yellow, and pink.
As mentioned above, the release of the iPhone 15 will see a range of 5 colours: black, white, blue, yellow and pink. Comment down below which one is your favourite colour!
The iPhone 15 range is expected to have a similar design to the iPhone 14 models, with the exception of the iPhone 15 Pro models, which are rumoured to have slimmer bezels. This would allow for a larger screen size.
The standard iPhone 15 models are expected to have the same design as the iPhone 14 models, with flatter edges and an aluminium frame. The main change that will be seen in the standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models is the addition of the Dynamic Island display.
All iPhone 15 models are rumoured to have a Dynamic Island display. This is a new design that replaces the notch with a pill-shaped cutout for the front camera and a smaller cutout for the Face ID sensors.
It’s not a new iPhone drop without camera upgrades. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will feature a 48MP main camera with the integration of the new and improved Sony image sensor allowing for better low-light performance, sharper details, and more dynamic range compared to previous models.
The biggest camera upgrade for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the rumoured periscope zoom lens. Periscope lens technology allows for optical zoom capabilities that are greater than those possible with a standard telephoto lens. This means that it can zoom in 5x or even 10x without losing image quality. This would be a significant improvement over the 3x optical zoom on the current Pro models.
